The flowers in the first picture are not thyme, they are dianthus (pinks). Which makes me question whether this manufacturer is legitimate.
Hi there. Thank you for the info. We’ve updated the photograph.
How many seeds per pack?
Morning. Per the vendor, there are 500 seeds on each mat.
Is this Horticultural Thyme? Can you eat it or is it just for the blooms?
Vendor does not recommend eating.
Just unfold your seed mat, cover with dirty and water.
What kind of dirty? Dog? Cat? Human? Dinosaur?
Can you cut the mat? 17" is a little wider than the area I am thinking of placing.
Not a single seed sprouted on either of the 4 mats I ordered. My advice is to avoid these mats and just buy the seeds from Amazon. You’ll get far more seeds and a much, much better chance of getting some to sprout.
I’m very sorry for your dead mats. Please contact Woot Customer Service for assistance. From a browser, use the Woot Customer Service form. In the Woot App, choose Account from the bottom navigation and then Support.
I got four mats to roll out in a space that needed ground cover. Not a single sprout despite ideal weather and regular watering.
It says that they will withstand extreme heat. OK. What about cold? I’m in SE Idaho.
I ordered 4 of the “Roll Out Creeping Carpet Thyme Seed Mat by Gardening4Less” and planted as suggested but not a single seed has sprouted.
The only other comment I can make about the product is this…directions say to place the mats with the printed side saying this side up and not a single mat has any markings on either side of any of the mats. Worthless product!

Agreed. We ordered 4 also. First of all the mats were much smaller than advertized. And ours have also not sprouted. It’s been a month or more.

Hi all. Here’s some tips from the vendor.
Our flower mats typically take two to four weeks to germinate depending on water, soil quality and amount of sun that is received. The most important thing is water. As our instructions indicate it is extremely import that your mat receives adequate water after they are planted. These are seed based mats so just like any seeded item soil and water are key. If the customer is still not seeing germination after 2-4 weeks then we recommend adding fertilizer with a high nitrogen level which will accelerate the growth.
If that still doesn’t work, contact Woot CS.
I lived in an apartment once with carpet like this…
Hmmmm, they don’t sound very legit based on the description and comments. They don’t list the scientific name like every other flower/plant/seed I’ve ever seen for sale. They don’t mention color. Has anyone actually grown creeping thyme from these mats? I’ve got a ton sitting in my cart to replace my front lawn but I don’t want to waste my $$$
