I’m thinking about this one just for the battery and charger.
While still useful, I imagine the “end” of covid really put the last nail in these things’ coffin.
At this price, I’m tempted to get one on GP alone.
Absolutely. They pay for the tool by themselves.
I did just that. I now have a tiny travel charger for my Ryobi fan, that I really could have used on our last trip.
The battery is the only reason this is worth picking up. I bought and returned one of these P2850 four times. The product will work from between 1-5 times and never power on again. The folks from Ryobi shipped me a new one after instructing me to run 1 gallon of distilled water only through my fourth unit only to have it die half way though tank number 2 while on the phone with Ryobi support. Five is till sitting in the box sealed. It was a shock because it’s the lone bad item out of the 26 other Ryobi tools I have. In short don’t expect much from the fogger.
The one last piece of the puzzle to round out my 80’s hair band!!!
How many other 18 volt devices are out there? It’s a small world, after all…
Has anyone who bought this received a seemingly bad battery or charger? Mine flashes red constantly…
Found this manual. Maybe related?
Red Light Flashing
Battery pack is either too hot, too cold or deeply discharged.
This is NOT a fault condition. Wait for the charger to evaluate the battery condition. Once the battery pack reaches correct temperature or completes a precharge cycle the charger will begin charging mode.
Thanks for the quick response. I gave this to my dad for his birthday so don’t have it here to try. He had seen the same thing in the manual. It didn’t seem hot and wasn’t too cold and had worked so didn’t seem the deep discharge. I’ll ask him to leave it on for a while to see what happens. Thanks
It came with a Ryobi warranty so y’all can reach out to them.
Yep that’s the plan had just wondered if others had same issue.
