I notice that the carry on sizes for airlines are listed but also witness larger bags being used as carry on… what are the real airline sizes

You’d need to call the airline you intend to use and ask.

I do believe all airlines a bit dif.
The airline has the option to add more or fewer seats in each section when they order planes for their profit or consumer’s comort.
