End of Life date not clearly specificed in specs - Woot is just being lazy now. Would you buy a gallon of milk with no date on it but told to go consult this chart to decipher the block and lot code to determine when it’s going to expire? No? It’s the same thing with this Chromebook. the End of Life date should be CLEARLY AND CONCISELY stated in the specs. It ALWAYS seems suspicious when it’s not.

Woot Staff: The End Of Life date should be at the top of the specs; it’s the single most important spec when buying a Chromebook ESPECIALLY considering Chrome based devices have a limited update lifetime.

It took one click and a little scrolling to find the Google end of life is June 2026. Who’s lazy now? I would have posted a screenshot, but I guess I felt a little lazy, myself :man_shrugging::grimacing::face_with_hand_over_mouth:

As far as this Chromebook, good price. Except I found a new one (MAJOR online/brick & mortar retailer) for $30 more. Yes, 12 months factor warranty versus 90 day warranty from a “no-name” refurb’er is worth $30 to me.

Also: this one is almost 1 pound lighter than my current 14" HP chromebook. Another selling point (for me)!

Have a great day!

Even at Amazon I could buy a new one for $233!

Great. Now do that EVERY TIME woot puts up a Chromebook with out the End of Life date. It gets old. FAST.

In addition, I’m a regular Joe like yourself. I don’t work for woot; why should I do their work for them? They’re perfectly capable of posting the EoL date in the specs like they should. As I say in my copypasta “Would you buy a gallon of milk with no date on it but told to go consult this chart to decipher the block and lot code to determine when it’s going to expire?”

At least the screen on this one doesn’t suck.
