B&H Photo Reviews

This works fine but I can’t say its a fast charge. It takes all night to charge whereas the charger that came with my phone takes about an hour.

It’s fast WIRELESS charging. Plugging in with the in box charger is the fastest because it’s Quick Charge (QC). Regular wireless charging is the slowest. The wireless Fast Charge capability is about the same speed as regular, non-QC wired. I can get a full charge in about 90 minutes.

Also, you need a Samsung phone that supports wireless Fast Charge. It’s S6 and above only. All other phones charge at regular Qi wireless speed, which is slower than wired. And it does charge non-Samsung Qi compatible phones (if it matches the coil position). My Nexux 5s charge fine in this charger.

I’ve looked through the pictures and can’t tell if this thing is round or oval shaped. Even the other places I’ve looked show it both ways. Would someone please explain?

The images shown can be a little confusing because of the different perspective angles they were taken. But based on looking at the 6th image from the top, it looks like a straight-on view of the charging “platform” part and it appears to be round. That seems consistent with the other views showing the “platform” as being angled at roughly 45 degrees to the base. So just as a guess, I’d conclude that the platform part is actually round. Hopefully one of the staff will come along to confirm or deny.

It is round. Newer model (EP-PG950TBEGUS) also folds flat. New model is also more expensive too.

Great deal as even with employee discount, they are $35 each.

These will charge your phone even if you have a case on, including OtterBox. Do not use though if your case holds your credit cards.

It’s round - the second-to-last picture shows the shape accurately.

These are $59 or $69 a piece at Best Buy. This is great buy and awesome timing right before the S8 and S8+ come out in the next few weeks.

So this will charge the s8? I have one pre-ordered, but I don’t know if this will work.

If it’s Qi-enabled, it will.

Yes, US S8’s have fast wireless charging built in.

I have one and it works great with my Galaxy S7 Edge. This isn’t really a great deal though. You can regularly find this charger online for about $20. Case in point:

So if you don’t need two, or want to pay about $28 less, there’s options.

A little ambiguous whether or not linked deal includes wall adapter or not. Kind of useless without it but there are also a lot on ebay at that price that are stand only.

I have one of these next to me right now and love it.

I don’t think it comes with the adapter, but your phone came with it, so not sure that’s an issue. I personally have a few smart/fast charger adapters lying around, but agree it’s worth factoring in.

They’re so wonky, we stopped using ours. They’ll stop charging one in a while for no reason unless you reposition the phone. Not reliable enough to continue using.

Your comment is incorrect. The Samsung Fast Charger comes with a wall charger. Go to the the Samsung website and review the specs. If it didn’t come with a wall charger it would be worthless. Since Woot was purchased by Amazon prices haven’t, in general, been competitive. Or, your better off to go to Amazon and get free shipping with Prime (I’m a Prime member).
