What does grade A mean?
Slight screen shadow?
No screen burn?
Big problem with screen burn in with these phones.
Are they Carrier Locked?
Hey, you there! These items have been inspected and guaranteed to have minimal cosmetic damage, which is not noticeable when the device is held at arm’s length & have successfully passed a full diagnostic test which ensures like-new functionality & removal of any prior-user’s personal information. Batteries are tested to function at minimum 85% capacity.
Did you not notice the drop down screen?
I should really just stay out of the used phone threads.
It always surprises me how demanding used phone buyers are…
Do y’all not have any nieces or daughters with phones? Do y’all really expect to see phones in pristine condition?
I have a daughter, also I have some grands, I have some nieces as well.
Are y’all just not seeing how they treat their phones?
SMH at your expectations.
Woot’s spec write up says this phone is upgradeable to Android 9 but Wiki says it can be upgraded to Android 10. Which one is right?
They can be upgraded to 10.
Honestly, I don’t see any questions here which necessitate the drama of this post.
I see one question which asks about the condition of the phone, and it asks about screen burn in, not whether there’s cosmetic damage possibly caused by a careless teen. It doesn’t seem like an imposition to ask if they’ve checked for screen burn during their so-called reconditioning.
Per your own suggestion, Maybe you should stay out of the phone forums, lol, if you’re not here to help but rather to scorn, and if you can’t deal with people’s possible newbiness, particularness, or simple need to get info on a possible purchase regardless of its condition or cost. Too much stress for yourself. Have a good day otherwise though, and I mean that sincerely.
Nothing special here. Swappa has them cheaper all day and you get to see actual photos of the phone you’ll receive.
It appears it does have amdroid 10 and at least 1UI 2.0.
“Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus update hub - Android Authority” Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus update hub - Android Authority
Its last security update was Feb 2021. So not too far behind especially when you factor in Google play service updates. And these are phones with big market share.
The lowest price currently at swappa are $142. Not sure how returns work though. I suspect its trickier at swappable but correct me if wrong.
Touch a nerve did I anon?
Sorry

I just got mine today. The scratches on the screen are easily visible and worse felt under finger tips, but there appears to be no dead pixels or burn in. This is not what I would call grade A though. Maybe grade B, but I’d be inclined to lean more towards the good side of grade C.
I’m sorry about the condition of the screen. Please reach out to Woot! Customer Service for some options.
From a browser, use the Woot! Customer Service form.
In the Woot! App, choose Account from the bottom navigation and then Support.
Note: Woot! Customer Service replies go to the email address on your Woot! account, not your Amazon login email if used/different.
The only ways someone could not see scratches on the screens of these is if they have 7 foot arms or 20/70 vision. They are, by NO stretch of the imagination, grade A. Mine has over 20 scratches visible at arms length, and my wife’s has more plus a 1/8" chip missing from the screen. VERY DISAPPOINTED.
I’m very sorry. Please see my post above about contacting CS.
