IIRC these are $1.50 at my local store, so if you go through a ramen pack a day you’ll break even before the expiry day, however it’s ultra processed food and probably will be good past the best by.

Meh had this exact same deal a little over a week ago for 24.99

Ramen has become ridiculously overpriced in the past couple of years, I’ve seen it as high as $2 for a single cup or pack of the “imported” stuff from Korea or Japan. I usually see Buldak, some of Samyang’s other flavors, Ichiban, Neoguri (actually udon), Shin and some others usually go for about $8-$9 for a five-pack or $6-$8 for a four-pack at a grocery store, where Club stores sometimes have a 16-pack of Shin for just about $16.

Top Ramen (Nissin) or Maruchan was frequently available as cheap as 16 for a buck not terribly long ago, occasionally 20 for a buck (a nickel each) when a store was overloaded with product. More recently (pre-COVID), a buck would get you six or eight packs of the stuff.

Now “dollar” stores feature a 5-pack of Nissin/Maruchan for $1.25, which is about the cheapest around. 25 cents. Still “cheap” by today’s standards (you can’t really get any fast food for a buck these days, let alone a quarter.) So by today’s pricing, 75 cents per pack is pretty good for this stuff.

The problem is I like to eat multiple packs at a time, I don’t find a single pack all that filling.

If you’re a pepperhead, try and find the Buldak in the black packaging (and prepare it according to the special directions, pan-frying the noodles after boiling, instead of as a “regular” noodle soup). That’s some good spicy stuff!

“artificial chicken flavor” Does that mean these are vegetarian? What does an artificial chicken taste like?

I don’t think Ramen is unusual - all grocery prices have jumped by about the same amount, haven’t they?

Depends on how strict a vegetarian. It contains milk powder, so cow.

Amused these were on Meh’s site ten days ago.

A little shocked these are a tick more healthy than Maruchan ramen.
