This was the price 2 or 3 years. Lately it doesn’t seem sold anywhere as new generation cards came out. Doesn’t really seem like a great deal unless you want this specific item.
I concur, unless someone NEEDS this now, better of waiting till the summer dip in prices. Besides, you can pick the same thing up on ebay any day for the same price.
This card BEATS a 5070ti … the same card you all hoping will drop in price. The old cards that beat it are a 4090 and the 5090. Funny how that works. And the 1 person said you can get it on ebay anyday is so full of it. This card is listed on ebay for 1300 ish buy nows. and a 19hour bid of 900 plus shipping. Apparently those 2 people above me didnt get the memo that Nvidia stopped making the 40x series, hence why prices sky rocketed for “older” cards. And that the 50 series kinda sucks. Also part of the reason the older cards sky rocketed in price. This card is solid if you cant find what your looking for and would want something to somewhat future proof your pc unless you can find a newer AMD card but even then this card is still great. Use a comparison site like versus . com and you can check for yourself.
Big facts. Good luck on those theoretical price drops on top performing cards.
If you don’t care about raytracing the 7900xtx is the best card on the market. I was able to snag a brand new Merc 310 7900XT in early November for $650 and am Seriously considering buying this Saphire as it’s a decent step up at 1440p/4k and really isn’t a bad raytracing card for its price point.
I want to get a 5090/4090 but refuse to pay over msrp. This is a solid deal on a high end variant of the 7900xtx and would definitely but it immediately as this price is becoming harder and harder to find!
I just picked up an XFX AMD 9070XT for under this cost on Ebay. New, Sealed, Never opened or used. Amazing card and worth it to grab if you can get it in the ballpark of retail cost. Anything between $650-$800 is fair. Don’t pay more than that if possible. With incoming Tariffs cost will go up so if you need a GPU or anything tech related, grab it soon.
I agree with the idea that you can buy this card on eBay for cheap, but that’s used. This card performs slightly under the latest 5080 but with double the VRAM. Will you need that much VRAM? No. But this card essentially will be the next 1080ti, minus the hype since AMD doesn’t get enough credit it deserves.
Additionally, you’re not going to find this card in stock any “on sale.” And if you did, it would sell out almost instantly.
I got the 9070XT Brand New on Ebay for $749 plus $20 shipping. Just saying, better deals can be found for a new card and the 9070XT brings updated FSR. 16GB of VRam is more than sufficient too. ![]()
These cards have fluctuated in price since they came out. Not very long ago these cards were selling for a couple hundred less than they are right now. Matter of fact, over the last month the trend has continued down in price. It’s not theoretical if these is historical data. Enter camel camel camel and the like.
I think you mean well, but you are grouping all 7900xt cards into this. This is not a regular 7900xt. Please refrain from waiting until after a sale is over to beat a dead horse. Oh and here is the result from your recommendation:

If you want to make a pointless point, at least offer a real source to back it up.
Keep me updated on this new upcoming top tier GPU consumer friendly market where new in-the-box cards with 20+ VRam are there without markup. This new gen has made so many available and with coming dip in demand and surplus in supply, not to mention market cooling that will accompany a theoretically diminishing volatility in the global trade market that maybe alligns with a improbable to impossible magically less screaming in all caps demands on TSMC and its monopoly on sillicon wafers. Who knows? Maybe the demands from every angle and sector for sillicon will ease up in this mew era of less demand for AI capable hardware st just the same time as gamers decide they don’t really want or need to game all while the very near future geopolitical and the world markets settle in. In that incredibly fantasy event I may not manage to make time to check for a response from you as I’ll obviously be playing the sillicon lottery somewhere over the rainbow. Lol
PS. Using yesteryear to forecast the coming weeks or months may not be the move champ. Just a thought.
I too think you mean well. I love your passion for passive aggressiveness play. It’s like being in high school again and I do look fondly on that period of my life.
To continue to beat the dead horse, also known as continuing the conversation that past the original sale posting, a consumer finds it difficult from one generation to the next to identify performance differences, much less within its own nomenclature. This card and its performance are well within the standard deviation for the 7900.
I know in this market there are plenty of fans of one brand or another, or one seller or another, but I also wouldn’t consider inflationary covid pricing as my reference price point. That’s just silly.
If buying now, wouldn’t more accurate pricing be that of all 7900 cards over the past month? And if you look at that data, it clearly indicates the trend I mentioned initially. Down.
I’d urge you to compare price to performance metrics also, after all the market has plenty of options.
IDGAF what you have to say. Happy Easter!
Champ here. I don’t intent to set Thucydides’ Trap or go in depth on Luddite movement but surely you’ve heard of Moore’s law or heard of people talking about market trends?
There is a historical pattern to all life and technology. And when you learn it, you’ll stop overpaying for video cards.
Well I care about you. You are important. Don’t let anyone tell you different!
