I got the 500GB version the last time this deal rolled around. I am perfectly happy with my purchase. I am only using it as a Steam/Programs boot drive and it seems up to that task. (I already had a 120 GB SSD for a main boot drive from a few years ago)
Were the model numbers included in the sale? I couldn’t find it.
Based on the provided Amazon reviews, these appear to be STGS250401/STGS500401 (250GB/500GB).
If that is the case, 3D TLC NAND for anyone that cares.
I’m in for two. So long as they last the full length of the 2-year 5-year** warranty I’ll be happy.
Always keep backups regardless!
** Thanks for updating the warranty info.
39.99 for the 250gb is a good deal, but in the interest of full disclosure, they did get this low on amazon as I had 2 in my cart on Oct 14th. the very next day, they jumped up to $59.99 and have stayed there since.
so 39.99 is good, but it has also reached this price naturally before.
newegg hit a low of 49.99 before they ran out of stock and it is now only 3rd party fulfilled.
I normally only use Samsung evos, so I am curious if the performance will compare.
model ref: B07CZ86FP4 / STGS500401
@Ed3rd Those are the correct model numbers.
Seagate site says 5 year warranty for their 250/500GB SSD. Woot says 2 years for this one. Are they the same model?
Thanks for the note. We’re updating our warranty to 5 years to match Seagate.
Do these come with software to clone a operating system drive? I like Samsung SSDs because they came with cloning software that was simple and effective to use.
Still can’t get Free Shipping. I’ve hit F5 to clear, Log Out and In, etc. I logged in with my Prime account. Had to call last time for the $6. dollars back. Getting tired with this problem. What happened with Woot?
Also is this a reply or a Post? Can’t find the Post line.
