Search Bar

You guys need a search bar!!! Sometimes I want to see if you have a particular item and don’t want to sit and scroll mindlessly!! Also, when I look in the categories and sub-headings (which overall is very helpful), I find numerous items not even remotely appropriate for that category. People who look in a certain category for a certain item are not even seeing all the items incorrectly categorized!

For various reasons, it hasn’t happened (yet).

However, there are some good 3rd party sites which rectify this issue, such as Wootplus.

(Please note: I don’t work for Woot, I just volunteer to help out here on the forums.)

Also, you can search the forums then sort by latest topic. The results at the top would then be the most likely items to be in stock.

@Wooter779173272, I know exactly what you mean re: the categories and subheadings being unreliable as a means of finding what you’re looking for. It’s made worse by the fact that the same subheadings exist within different categories, for instance:

  • Clearance - Laptops
  • Electronics - Laptops

Woot+ simplifies filtration by subheading by “flattening” all items into a single subheading regardless of which category it’s nested in.

In general though, when you already know what you’re looking for, the real-time search feature is all you’ll need.

Glad to hear it’s been useful to you, @Wooter547100384! Are there any features you feel it may be lacking?

I’m the author of Woot+ and am always open to suggestions on how to improve it.
