A few years ago I bought a Model UR1000SR here on Woot that was also refurbished. I have had many issues that in my opinion were missed when being refurbished, but I didn’t discover till long after the warranty was out. I had issues with the wheels where the springs weren’t attached & screws were stripped out when trying to take things apart to get to things to fix. My robot easily gets stuck on things on the floor that it either should have gone around or shouldn’t get stuck on, it has fallen down steps (cliff sensors sometimes don’t work), and when it docks to empty, if something gets stuck at the transfer, the robot just sits there with no indication it has a problem till you notice it hasn’t cleaned for a few days or you check the app. When it does work, it cleans well. I really like the ability to clean a specific room (which is often needed after a transfer fault) once the map is generated. This is a great price and as long as you are willing to gamble that the refurbishment was done correctly, I would buy it.

I bought one last time around. It’s a good unit - Your experience is a bummer. I like the ability to start it after i get my dogs out of the house for a walk. One of my dogs wants the vacuum to die. I can pick a few rooms to clean and plan our walk accordingly.

I like the lidar - My last Shark vacuum didn’t have this feature and instead had a camera that faced the ceiling. This one is better at navigating the house. The lidar does prevent it from going under one of our couches, which is not ideal. As long as you do a quick pickup of anything that may tangle up the brushes, it does a decent job. I had a Neat-o several years ago and that vacuum was ot good at naigating and lacked an app, but the suction was better.

This is a great price. I’ve bought 4 of these over the years, for myself and for family. They aren’t the smartest robots and they like to climb things, but for the price point it can’t be beat. I think I paid between $130 and $150 for mine.

I also purchased a “refurbished“ shark vacuum from this site. It was anything but refurbished. It was filthy and none of the ports were replaced. I had to take it apart and clean it to make it work.

I bought this model last year from Woot! as a refurbished model. It worked great for a while, then would randomly disconnect feom wifi. I’d have to delete the robot from the app, add it back and it would work for a while. Now it won’t connect at all. I can’t even run it without the app or without wifi. I tried all the troubleshooting recommendations, but it seems this is a known issue. I ended up buying a “dumber” model of the shark self emptying vacuum and it is working fine. I would not recommend this model on sale.

How does this fair with cluttered rooms? Will it avoid certain objects on the floor?

I bought one of these last time around, the unit I received was absolutely spotless.

It could have passed as brand new, mines been working like an absolute champ and does extremely well keeping up with all the dog hair I have from 4 dogs.

Not a single complaint on my end, I love not having to replace filter bags or anything like that
