Sooooo, will it successfully avoid doggy droppings?
Incredible suction you say… Hmmm…
This I need to know as well. I’m done cleaning poop off bristles and wheels.
I have this and bought it from woot. It will not avoid items on the floor. Ive had mine climb over a metal base of a tv. I doubt it has any AI for avoidance.
I just dont let mine run alone with my dog.
Other than that its been a solid vaccum
Does the “2500” in the model # allude to the “pa” (suction)? Many vacs are rated by this #
No. They added LIDAR to the old Shark IQ robots and changed the name to Shark AI. It doesn’t have any obstacle detection or avoidance whatsoever because it doesn’t have camera or laser vision on the front for that type of detection.
That said, the LIDAR was a HUGE improvement over the original IQ robots that used a camera pointed to the ceiling for mapping. It SUCKED because it constantly got lost (if it managed to ever build a worthwhile map in the first place) so useful features like Recharge and Resume or Empty and Resume never worked because it’d never find the base or wouldn’t remember how to get back to where it left off. The LIDAR fixes that.
App is still atrocious compared to other brands, though.
Quick, before this offer runs out… ![]()
Has anyone had this model and the Wyze LiDAR vac that could offer a comparison? Our Wyze has been great, but it’s years old and with our dogs & cats, we’re hell on vacuums. I’ve replaced the roller and spinning brushes and filters numerous times, but its performance is gradually declining and so we’ll be looking to replace it soon. This one offers self-cleaning and is quite a bit cheaper than the Wyze when not on sale, so it’s awfully tempting. I don’t mind a refurb if it’s a quality one.
EDIT: My FOMO anxiety wouldn’t allow me to wait any longer, so I pulled the trigger on one. If it’s an utter disappointment, I blame you all for not talking me out of it!
Is this model a better value than the $189 RV2502AE thats also listed on woot?
Was wondering what FOMO was until I finished the sentence.

FOMO — Fear Of Missing Out.
There ya go! Have a good one!
