Just got mine in today. Awesome fan, especially at this price. Odd that you have to pair its remote to the fan, but it was a simple process. Wide range of air speeds…the highest moving curtains across the room 20 feet away. Sounds very different than a bladed fan…more like a white noise machine. Variable ranges of oscillation, from 45 to 180 degrees…and you can effectively widen that range by twisting the vents.
All in all, a great deal on a room sized bladeless fan…get one at this price while you can…
I got this fan delivered yesterday and it was a breeze to put together. I will note however, the instructions for pairing the remote might be wrong. They say to hold the power button on the unit and the remote together for 20 seconds and that did not work for me. A quick google search told me to hold the power button on the unit for 20 seconds and after that press fan speed up on the remote one time. That did the trick for me. I’m not sure why it is that way when all the shark manuals say differently. Something to keep in mind if you purchase this model UT205.
Mine should be here today or tomorrow it says it’s scheduled now for tomorrow I guess it missed the truck anyways I extremely happy to get it because I need it for the end of my bed
My fan has been great so far, wish I had bought a 2nd.
I didn’t have the pair the remote which was nice
I ordered two fans and one didn’t have a remote. ![]()

Got mine and love it. Wish I got another. Super weird looking but also really cool lol
Did you contact CS for the one that didn’t have a remote?
I did, sent an email. Gonna have to wait 24-48 hours for a response.
Does seem that the wait time is 48 - 72 hours based on the banner. Just make sure you don’t send in multiple requests as it gets marked as duplicates in the system.
Easy assembly. Great looking! Awesome price.
Sounds like a jet engine on the 3rd setting and higher! Pairing was a small pain and again sounds like a jet taking off, wish there was a quitter setting with the same air flow. But the look is excellent!
I heard back from customer service yesterday. They asked for photos. Not sure how to get a photo of a missing remote.
Poor CS. They’re moving so fast. That’s like Eureka asking me to provide a video showing the vacuum’s lack of suction. ![]()
I’ll send a note to CS.
There’s a joke online where somebody was asked to give proof that they didn’t receive an item. They sent the seller a picture of an empty hand.
I could use this
- The remote pairing instructions attached to the fan are wrong. I needed to check the Shark manual for the correct instructions.
- The fan arrived defective - it doesnt oscillate. When i press the oscillate button on the fan or remote I get a banging noise from inside the fan.
- Ive tried to contact Woot CS via email to report the issue and make it right but its been three days now without a response.
Ive had good luck with Woot products in the past, but this is a bad experience that should make anyone wary of buying from them.
Hello. Customer service responded to your 9/3 email on 9/4 giving you some options. They’re waiting to hear back from you.
Please note that our emails go to the email address on your Woot account. Not your Amazon login, if different.
This fan is such a disappointment. The remote instructions given do not pair the remote to fan. It is useless without remote. Won’t oscillate. I contacted CS on 9/4 to return and I’m still waiting. Checking spam box regularly. I’ve never had this issue w CS.
See @jtrelin2’s post above about the remote. The instructions in the manual are correct.
Make sure you’re giving CS 24-48 hours to respond.
