Is there an additional $10 off for prime members? Or is the listed price the special for prime members?

I believe it’s the listed price. I’m not seeing any additional discount.

(Please Note: I’m not employed by Woot, but I volunteer to help in the forums.)

Not a bad deal. Amazon has it for $20 more: https://smile.amazon.com/Shark-DuoClean-Self-Cleaning-Brushroll-UV480/dp/B09FV9JN6F/

We have an old 2nd gen dyson cordless handheld and it (quite ironically) sucks. Corded is a plus, IMO.

Hi there. So I can see the confusion and that’s our bad. The price is already showing the $10 discount and can only be purchased if you have an Amazon Prime account.

Sorry for the confusion.

The cordless ones suck, tbh. Their runtime is 20 minutes, if you’re lucky, at “full” power. I just bought a (new) corded Ultralight Petpro after trying to decide between it and the Rocket and had also looked at the cordless versions. If you have a small apartment, or really only plan to use it for quick dustbuster-type cleanups, cordless might be okay, but for that, you can still find cheaper cordless dustbusters that will serve the same purpose. For a Shark like this, at their prices, it’s a waste of money unless you’re using it more frequently or for more purposes (car cleanouts, stairs, upholstery, ceiling cobwebs, etc.) and for that you’ll want a longer runtime or a corded version. I wish I’d waited and picked this one up instead of the much more expensive new version of the Ultralight.

I have 2 corded sharks. Like a little upright. They’ve got to be 15 years old!! I bought the first one for a camper, I was so impressed I kept that one I bought a second one for the camper. Lol I’m still impressed/surprised at the suction that little thing puts out.
With the quality of shark and the reputation of Amazon you probably can’t mess with this deal.

Which one are you saying you wish you bought instead? I have a friend that has the
Shark IZ163H Pet Plus Cordless Stick Vacuum with Self-Cleaning Brushroll, PowerFins, MultiFLEX, Crevice Tool & Pet Multi-Tool, 40-min Runtime, Raspberry
and says she loves it, but only has had it for about 2 months. It’s a big purchase and I don’t want to get something I’ll hate.

I was saying that I wish I hadn’t just bought a new Ultralight because I would have jumped on this otherwise. I generally don’t mind getting refurbs and I didn’t see enough big differences between the Ultralight and Rocket to make me prefer one over the other, so I bought the one that was cheaper at the time. I also have a full-size Shark upright and the only thing I dislike about the brand is how easy they all are to tip over. Anyway, the thing they don’t make super obvious is that when they advertise a 40 minute runtime for the cordless versions it’s using at the lower power speed. Using the higher power cuts runtime in half.

Thank you for all the info.

I’ve bought Sharks for work, uprights, stick, cordless. They’re all great. One downfall for the cordless is that it takes forever to charge.

I bought this Shark UV480 here on Woot back in July of 2021. Use it; love it; recommend it.

I prefer the corded vacs because I don’t want the bother and cost of dealing with batteries. I want to be able to turn it on and have it run for as long as I need before I make the choice to stop, not the vac.

These Shark stick vacs are lightweight but have plenty of suction. There are only two drawbacks - it doesn’t stand upright on its own, and the collection cannister is naturally smaller than a standard upright. Neither one of these issues were unexpected and neither are a deal-breaker.

In the name of full disclosure I will say I prefer Dyson vacs over Shark as a general rule. Why? Because Dyson does a much better job of separating the picked-up dirt and dust from the air stream without relying as heavily on filters as the Sharks do. You can reliably need to clean a Dyson’s filters every month and they will still look pretty good before you do, but I’ve had Shark vacs that will completely dirty a filter after their first use. However, for this price I won’t be complaining about that very much!

Hope this helps!

I agree. I’m never buying a cordless vac again. They start loosing their charge the first time you use them. After six months of use, you either buy or new battery pack or toss the thing in the trash.

I’ll just jump on the corded bandwagon here and say that cordless sucks, as in, running out of battery juice and also have to buy new batteries. Can you say landfill?

I love my corded Shark Rocket so much, I’m thinking of buying this one for upstairs.
