We (wifey & I) bought this vacuum new when Bed Bath & Beyond still had a brick & mortar store in Ocala Fla. Wifey hates it but she didn’t want to shell out the big bucks for a new Dyson. IIRC we paid $250 for it new +7% sales tax. My only complaint is the roller head that has the roller brush in it, not working and I’m no good with figuring that stuff out, although I should be able, yet I haven’t moved forward with trying to figure it out so I use the wand with a brush head to spot clean. It’s actually easy to keep clean and emptied (the dust bin). If you don’t mind having to play Magiver after a bit, you could do a lot worse

Neither will I. My first one was a refurb from here, and it made it one year before the the power broke off the vacuum. Liked it so I bought the same version new and still have it and use it in the basement. It has some funk to it after years of vacuuming after pets.

My new one is the 500 buckaroos, didn’t pay that much thankfully and should have taken it back asap. Thin plastics and heavy, but man it can suck.

Fastward to just at the year mark, the vacuum would not detach so I can vac under thing. It was welded together so I just recently call warranty (it has 5 year warrt) and the sent me the one part and the other part I need to make it happen is on backorder, and without giving me a time from that I can expect the part. I NEED to vacuum, I GOT pets…

So shame on me for not taking it back and using the 500 for a real vacuum

I bought a Shark a few years ago from Woot that the roller didn’t work on and it turns out the wiring that goes from the vacuum body down the rod to the roller was completely missing. It was pretty straightforward to troubleshoot as one end was all plastic with the metal electric contacts missing.
