$19.55/lb for… what, again? I don’t even know what a “shitake” is. A shiitake is a mushroom type.
It’s a lot for “similar to potato chips”. I happen to live in a region where I can get genuine potato chips pretty often when in season.
Especially those doing Keto - take note of the serving size (8 servings in each tiny bag). I missed this part when I ordered before. They are tasty, but three peices per serving is ridiculous.
Yeah that is unbelievably deceptive. 5g is not a serving of anything that you don’t put in a pipe.
Heh, thanks. I think I fixed all occurrences of single “i”.
Maybe they’re meant to be injectable
What are the ingredients? Costco often has big bags a shitake snacks are they’re really yummy, but then contain MSG and used something other than expeller pressed oils.
The ingredients are listed for each in the features.
Shitake mushrooms go for $4/lb to $8/lb fresh at local produce stores and grocery stores. Dried mushrooms are more expensive by the pound because the moisture weight is removed. These chips may have a significant weight contribution from palm oil, salt and spices. Fresh potatoes can be purchased for $0.40/lb to $0.50/lb or less at local markets. I haven’t tried this brand, but it isn’t entirely appropriate to compare them to potato chips.
