Quickly change my mind on it, thanks for the great test link… the guys voice was rough to listen to for that long
I mean, I know there are countless climate concerns nowadays, but I don’t think “degreaser rain” is one of them. To be fair, it likely indicates the robustness of the coating, but I’m not sure I’d say it replicates real world conditions. At one point he has concerns he damaged the paint due to some of his tests, which is indicative of this.
Yep. Are there differences between the brands? Absolutely, which is why I posted the video for that reason – that one shouldn’t expect this to be the most durable out there. On the other hand, consider the price and weigh whether the application speed it’s worthwhile to have to spray every few months instead of in a year.
A couple years ago, I DIY ceramic coated my car. It took several hours to properly do it, and I got about a year’s worth of good water repellency. As it diminished afterwards, I ended up going with Mother’s CMX. It doesn’t last as long, but the application is done in minutes, not hours.
I detail my cars for fun. This was one of those that was HEAVILY marketed with lots of positive reviews. Cost was high for what it was, so i never bought it. This is a decent deal, but for 8 oz cans there are better choices out there.
I’ve been Detailing my various vehicles for over 3 decades. I’ve tried countless products, including this Shine Armour. It’s decent and above average. My choice for both of my current Bimmers: GRIOT’S 3in1 and Showroom Quick Detailer.
Super hydrophobic and easy on and off application.
Reviews on the mainland say the formula was changed and the original users during the heavy marketing noticed the difference and no longer use it. Honey Moon users might fall for the for the hype. It may appear to shine. But last less.
