your local Walmart carries the Ozark Trail tumblers that are better and cheaper and come in many more color options.

Are the 20oz cups the latest design or the previous design? The previous design 20oz cups are $9.99 on the website.

What makes them better?

Are they dishwasher safe?

According to their website you should not put in a dishwasher, microwave, stove or freezer as these can disable the insulation properties.

Most of these vacuum insulated tumblers (RTIC, Ozark Trail, Yeti, etc) are not dishwasher safe, but I’ve gotten lazy and I started putting my Ozark Trail tumblers in the dishwasher (top shelf). I haven’t noticed a significant change in performance.

It is a risk I am willing to take - as I said I’ve gotten lazy.

The only reason they are not dishwasher safe is because the color coating will start to fade/peel in the dishwasher over time. If you get one that is not colored they should be fine in the dishwasher.

I mean really, the damn things are stainless steel and meant to handle hot liquids. There is no reason that the tumbler it’s self would be harmed in a dishwasher.

For those wondering why you shouldn’t put these in the dishwasher, I offer this.

These things have gotten so trendy that Woot! has three different offerings under Sport & Outdoors from three different companies: SIC, TRD and NDK. All of these fair no better than the ones you can get from a big box store for half the cost and no shipping charges. That being said, at least these can be shipped to all postal codes in NY.

Can any woot staff answer this?

The concern here is thermal expansion and contraction stresses causing the seemed metal to pull away from itself, thus eliminating the vacuum seal and reducing the insulative performance of the cups; if you are willing to take this chance, like me, for convenience and then buy another one if performance drops off, and you do not care about the powder coated surface staying pristine, you will be just fine washing this in the dish washer. You also could accelerate the ageing of the rubber seal on the lid, thus reducing how water and air tight this seal is – but the silicone they use for this should hold up just fine.

popang…I am surprised you used the energy and time it took to write this comment ! Since it would probably take you the same energy and time to hand wash your Tumbler

I’ve reached out to the vendor team but haven’t heard back yet.

Once, unless you’re really slow at typing, or don’t care to actually get your mug clean.

Hope you all are well! The 20 Oz. on the woot deal are the previous design - they are not for sale on the SIC website.

I also found a cached page showing that these were for sale for 9.99 directly from siccups. I think with that information this makes this not a good deal as it shows the vendor removed the product fromtheir site so that they can charge woot customers more. The pricing should be the same and since the cached version is still available by google search it was a recent delete from their site.

Stainless steel gets spotted and the dishwasher liquids can leave a haze. If you don’t care much about the appearance, dishwash away.

That is strange as I had two of the $9.99 20oz cups in my shopping cart on your website that are suddenly no longer available. Never going to buy a siccups now.

You are correct it was recently - we started to run that promo but then got connected to Woot and decided to run a deal on Woot instead.
