I have the Silhouette Cameo 3 (from Woot!).
Absolutely love it and WISH I had this Silhouette 4 Pro.
Just can’t justify the expenditure as the Cameo 3 still works like a charm after several years of use.
While 24" width would definitely make some projects easier, many long designs can be turned sideways to do them on the Cameo 3. (Cameos can print at least 10’ in length if the other dimension is only up to 12".) But then you could get 24" vinyl (for lower cost per foot vs. 12").
A great feature on this upgrade is the vinyl roll feeder. Anyone doing more than the “occasional project” gets Oracal by the roll. Wish the roll feeder had come with my Cameo 3. I think there might be one as an add-on, but I did not spring for that.
And, says it cuts 3x faster, that is a super feature! I think there are way more uses for the additional materials this machine can handle.
If you’re wavering, it really is superior to a Cricut, although maybe with a little bigger learning curve. You can get software upgrades that allow you to cut a lot of custom projects using your own drawings, photos or CAD software.
