Seems like the same thing. 2pack for same price
Good Catch!
Different brand names, but similar details.
I was shopping for generic Ryobi 18v batteries for my lawnmower for a while, but the reviews are always all over the place. I finally just bought actual Ryobi batteris from Home depot.. They often run sales, and I was able to get 2 RYOBI 4ah batteries AND a free tool (I got the hand vacuum) for $79.
My Ryobi 18v lawnmower lasts about 15 minutes with a 4ah battery with the dense grass and high outdoor temperatures (95+ F) I’ve had this summer. The Ryobi batteries are definately more expensive than the generics, but the free vacuum and knowing that I can drive 15 minutes to Home Depot and exchange them if anything goes wrong was worth it to me.
If you look further down in the product details those show as 3Ah each. So its the same price for 2 batteries that are half the capacity of this one.
That said, if you read the reviews of these different knock-offs batteries on amazon, a lot of them say that arent really the Ah advertised.
I always worry about build quality of generic Li-Ion batteries. I would rather not have them catch on fire when I’m charging them in my basement.
I know it happens even with well known brands, but I feel like less often. Plus they would actually care about brand reputation. Much more than [insert Random Chinese Brand Name Generator].
Tried a couple of the generic for 18v Ryobi batteries and did not have good luck. First the amp hour ratings are wildly exaggerated, the generic 6ah was more like a true 3ah, didn’t matter much as they only charged a couple of times and then were dead, definitely not a good value.
Same with the generic 40v for Ryobi. Wildly exaggerated ah rating and poor reliability. And as someone pointed out perhaps dubious safety too.
