For folks looking for reviews, here’s a different listing by the same company on the mothership:

I’m very leery of anything on the mothership where most of the good reviews are from people who got free product.

You mean Amazon Vine? The quality of review(er)s do vary, but the program exists because apparently only about 1% of buyers actually spend the time to review what they purchase. For a product to get a dozen reviews, they’ll probably need to sell around a thousand items – and how likely will a thousand consumers buy a product that doesn’t have any reviews yet versus any number of other products where there are reviews? Those are very slim odds.

Sellers do not get to choose who reviews their product, so there’s no guarantee that they’ll always get positive reviews. Also they’re not really free; they get taxed for the value of the items as income.

I’m also a little leary with the Amazon Vine reviews, but I think you made a good point.

I am as well, but if you read through the reviews they come across as fairly genuine, with several people even going as far as testing the batteries. They don’t deliver the 6.0Amps listed, but are still a great value as long as you know that going in. I’m in for two. For $40(with the coupon), they should be great for around the house backups.

Many of the Vine reviews seem sketchy to me. YMMV.

Maybe Amazon should consider some sort of incentive for purchasers to submit reviews - maybe a discount on future purchases or something like that.

I’d happily review more of my Amazon purchases, but every time I try I get an error message.

It’s not like all the reviews were glowing 5-star reviews, so what was sketchy? Given that there was more than one review doing weight comparisons and capacity testing, isn’t that still more reassuring over one that no one has tested? Heck, I’ve seen Viners do capacity testing on disposable batteries that sold for like a quarter each. That’s some dedication to reviewing that I doubt the average consumer would ever do.

Maybe Amazon should consider some sort of incentive for purchasers to submit reviews …

They do … sort of. Apparently they get an invite into Amazon Vine.

As for getting an error message, it’s usually that the listing and/or seller’s account is under review.
If you still can’t after a few more days, just move on.
