Strangest thing about this product in the photos is the box appears to have been found at the bottom of a storage locker after 25 years and several moves.
I think cordless soldering irons are great and I’ve tried several. Even one that used butane fuel.
A small cordless soldering tool is great for auto and RV work. Even if you have power, sometimes it’s nice to not need an extension cord. With this one though, I’d be very worried about the condition of the battery. It’s probably NiCd and sure looks like it’s from many years ago (might be what some resellers call “new old stock”). for mechanical tools, that’s fine, but if it has an internal rechargeable battery, that’s not so good.
It does have a NiCd battery, and while the photo looks like something from eBay, it appears to still be actively sold by the manufacturer (although it could still be “new old stock” from a batch they made many eons ago):
