I bought this model here about 3-4 months ago. The battery life is longer than listed. I charge mine every 2 weeks at most. When the battery does finally wear down below 15%, pedometer performance suffers and steps are missed.
I do find the android app crashes too often, but it doesn’t delete information, so meh, whatever. For the price, I’m happy with mine.
Is this device compatible with othe software options?
I’ve been messing around with Samsung s health and for 39 bucks[plus 5 dollar shipping] this would be an awsome purchase if it worked with it.
Thanks
Does the ap require you to be connected to the internet in order to upload from the wristband? I had a fitbit model that required internet access. Unfortunately I don’t always live where internet is available via wifi… or at all.
This thing has got some pretty rough reviews on Amazon. Spend the extra money, and get a Garmin or Fitbit. Wrist worn pedometers in general are less accurate that than the clip on style. I have a Fitbit One, and a Garmin Vivofit 2. I bought them both on eBay refurbished from sellers with over 99% positive feedback for $50.00 each refurbished. One measures my steps, and vivoactive 2 receives heart rate information from my Wahoo TICKR chest heart rate monitor ($50.00 on Amazon). Not to mention, with any Fitbit you are included in an online community where you can join groups of people similar fitness levels, age, gender, or lifestyles (I’m in “sedentary” and “geocaching” groups), the software and app is also really nicely laid out to show how close you are to your daily goals and where you stand in relation to your friends. I don’t trust this device after the lack of feedback on Amazon, and reading poor reviews. Go check it out for yourselves.
Got one months ago. Took a while for the app to show up in the IOS App Store. Sadly to say that the Bluetooth connection was VERY inconsistent. And afters months of hit and miss activity LOSS, my wife gave up on it. Don’t use it as a birthday gift FAIL.
no it does this by bluetooth
about a year ago I received 2 of these as gifts. oddly one of them works better than the other in just overall connectivity. I have not had any serious issues with it though at times the iPhone app would crash, when I contacted Soleus about the problem they were quick to respond and it was resolved in a day or so. What enjoy most about this is its ability to alert me phone calls and txt messages that I would otherwise miss. I have not explored other similar devices so can’t offer any comparisons.
This is junk. The battery died a couple of months after I bought it. It will not charge more than 29%. I tried cleaning the terminals with no luck. Garbage, even the software crashes and does not sink! Stay away!
