Now this is a no brainer the shipping price all most brings it up to retail price and after that if they add sales tax you would be dumb for buying it.
Here’s a dopey question but since nothing is too dopey for Woot here we go…
I have a couple of peg boards up already. Will these storage bins fit those? I guess my question is whether the spacing on peg boards are standard or if I need to use this one.
They don’t mount via the holes in the pegboard back, I don’t even know why it has a pegboard back. There are long channels of plastic, and there’s a kind of flat wide hook piece on the back of the bins that hooks into that channel.
I’d just take a hard pass on these. You can buy it from Harbor Freight for 20 dollars plus shipping, and even that isn’t worth it. I had a set of these, the plastic back piece is very flimsy and would bend outwards. I replaced it with a metal backplate from Akro-bins, and a bunch of their bins, which were much better quality. (Also a woot purchase).
These bins do function just fine as bins, they’ll hold small parts, they’ll hold your sandwich, or a cup of coffee. As long as you don’t want to hang them on the wall they’ll be fine, but they’re still cheaper elsewhere.
I bought one of these a long while back. Very, very cheaply made. I broke the hang tabs off of two of the bins trying to straighten them out enough to hang on the bracket.
The bracket is so flexible that it pulls away from the wall when there is any weight whatsoever in the bin.
Woot eventually refunded my money as they didn’t have any more to send me to replace the one I got. Thank goodness.
Can’t recommend these in any way shape or form. As a previous poster indicated, get the one from HF.
