Why would anyone sell a container without showing how it opens or the inside? Brilliant marketing!
I was thinking the same thing

You can get more views on
Bing. Unfortunately, Woot probably doesn’t have these on hand for their photo department, so they are using the same stock photos from Stanley’s website, with just this one view.
Is it paper thin? Is it a bucket? Who knows without a side view!
“lunch case” : lunch box :: “messenger bag” : man purse
Would these be any good for geocaches? Are they watertight? And how long before the stainless steel rusts or corrodes?

thanks very much for this! doesn’t look like they’d be big enough to hold leftovers tupperware. but it’s definitely good to know. you saved me 10 bucks. ![]()
Oh… So that is what I can use Bing for.

Doesn’t look like these hold much.

Very helpful, thanks for the video!!
These don’t even look microwavable. I’ll stick to my Japanese lunch boxes…

Pretty embarrassing revelation to someone on the woot staff I bet.
It’s time for: Guess what’s inside!
No product photos provided by Woot other than a stock exterior shot.
So, it’s my guess that a bunch of Woot flying monkeys live inside with a mess of tangled ear buds and some Sigg bottle caps. And a single AC Delco battery.
The bottom of mine says,
95 cu in / 1556 cc
BPA-FREE
DISHWASHER SAFE
DO NOT MICROWAVE
5-inside-triangle recycling symbol
among other things.
In (very!) practical terms, it’ll just store four 7" tablets. And very sturdily.
Mine’s sitting next to me with a Nexus 7, BlackBerry PlayBook (v 1.0), Kindle Fire (v 1.0), and Nook Tablet (v 1.0). Just for demonstration purposes, you understand.
There’s about 1" of free space at the top and bottom of the tablets. The lid of the case is domed and the bottom partly so, so there’s a tiny bit of side-to-side free play for the two tablets in the middle of the stack but not for the tablets on top and bottom.
- The lid of the case is domed and the bottom partly so.*
The pictures make them look flat, but the top is definitely domed, and the base is a flattened dome. So the inside walls aren’t vertical.
The handle is on the left end as you look at the pictures. So you carry it vertically.
Let’s see, what else? Ummm … collect all five colors? ![]()

EDIT
I don’t think it matters, but my description applies to a previous woot item,
Stanley Nineteen13 Lunchcase - Silver.
Woot also called this a “Stanley 10-01181-001 Nineteen13 Lunchcase.”
The product number matches what Stanley calls
Nineteen13 Lunchcase - Stainless Steel Basic
It looks to me like woot’s
- Stanley 10-01181-007 Nineteen13 Lunch Container - Stormtropper* [sic]
and
Stanley 10-01181-006 Nineteen13 Lunch Container - Blackhawk
are the same thing - same size and all - but different colors. And they match the Stanley site. So it all looks same-same.

Grabbed this from a google image search - it got me to a final “no” decision right quick.

A note from his mom that says “I love you”. Or a note from Darth Vader that says “I will kill you if you betray me.”
This was very useful, thanks for sharing. My decision is made and it’s: Sorry Woot! I would never use this… much less with unwrapped food.
inside looks lame and small, no wonder they only show 1 photo of the top, dont try to screw us ■■■■■, you think we’re stupid or something, nigga please
