Lack of video compression (h264)would be a deal breaker for me.

Have two, black from Meh.com

They crash like a pilotless plane .

Work great for a few hours, days, then the screen goes green, whatever is suggested fails to fix the problem, so you unplug wait a minute then replug.

I uninstalled, reinstalled several times still the crash, so using these for reliability is your option. Good luck

They’re both solid like… a plane made of cement?

Working great. No issues. No green screen of near-death. No flagrant system errors. Virus = very no.

I understand this has a magnetic base. Is it strong enough to allow the camera be installed upside down? Would the software adjust for this position?

How far does the wifi reach? My router is in the living room, can this be used to monitor outside next to my front door? Its covered from rain.

Have the original with no nite vision for almost 4 yrs and it is still going strong !!! Have had no issues with it and hope I have the same luck with these !!

I’ve been looking at the Canary system ($150-$200) and then I saw this deal. Am I missing something or does the Izon do everything that the far more expensive Canary does?

Neither does this one according to the description.

It really depends on your router and the environment it is installed in. If it can get a signal, it will connect 30ft or more. The manufacturer recommends keeping the WiFi signal above 80%, and if it falls below 50%, the connection will be unpredictable.
