Sun Joe SPX3000 or SPX3000XT Pressure Washers

Sun Joe SPX3000 or SPX3000XT Pressure Washers

Whenever I see pressure washers for sale I always have to come out of the woodwork to mention that the numbers quoted here should definitely be fact-checked.

Sun Joe’s ratings here of 2030 PSI is not what you should expect coming out of the nozzle, it is the maximum pressure the pump is capable of producing. Many youtube tests have confirmed what is printed in small print in their specs: 2030 is the max internal pressure rating, typical working pressure is 1475 PSI.

Similarly, the 1.75GPM rating is for the high-flow nozzle (soap dispenser) and not what you will get from the pressurized nozzles. Pressurized nozzles output about 1.4GPM.

Not to say this is a bad deal, or a bad pressure washer, but I try to stay away from folks who aren’t really honest in their advertising, and if you are calculating the cleaning performance using the “advertised” numbers you will get a very different result than what you expect.

I purchased the SPX3000-XT model specifically for the foam cannon to wash my cars with. All I can say is that I’m extremely disappointed. Not sure if the foam cannon that I received is defective or not but I can’t seem to get anything better than really soapy water to come out. since the foam cannon was my primary reason for purchasing this model it was pretty much a waste of money and I am about as well off to continue washing with a bucket of soap.
