Pretty good reviews (4.5 out of 5.0) over at the O
I got one as a wedding gift. At the inflated price our friends bought it at, it is worth it. At this price, it’s a hell-of-a deal. Great steam volume, nice attachments, quick heat up. Only qualm is the short cord.
Does it operate on 220 volts?
No. It’s 110 V. I’ve wasted my money already. ![]()
Staff, please add this to “Specs”.
I have one and will never iron again. I know I know some say you can’t get good creases with it. I say creases schmeases. I’ll hum a few bars and fake it.
I purchased one of these from Woot in July. The hose connection, for the hand attachment, to the body of the steamer is a threaded piece of plastic. On the one I purchased the hose does not screw down at all. I tried dealing with Sunbeam’s Customer service and decided that I would rather just write off the $49.99 I paid than subject myself to more frustration. From the comments I read here and elsewhere it appears that I just got unlucky and purchased a lemon. So just know if you too get unlucky, you may be flushing $39.99 down the crapper.
Why does 110v v 220v matter?
Sorry for the ignorance! ![]()
I’ll pass it on. Thanks.
I believe it’s because some of our military personnel that are stationed overseas order from us.
Can anyone chime in on how versatile this is as a steam cleaner? I’m more intrigued by the prospect of using this to clean furniture or things that I can’t run through the washing machine.
I’m also paranoid and have a hard time conceptualizing how steam alone can really clean something.
Bought this unit on Woot about a year ago. My wife always complains about my buying random items, but admitted the other day this steamer “changed her life”. Its a great way to get out wrinkles. The unit heats up quickly and really does the job.

This is not a steam CLEANER. It simply gets out wrinkles so that you dont need to use an ironing board/steam iron.
Bought one of these about a year ago the last go around.
Still going strong and keeping my iron lonely. Though I do wish I could figure out what these attachments it came with accomplish.
I’ve also used it to get cosmoline out of an old SKS gun stock, which was really nice.
Is ready to use in about 45 seconds from power, water reservoir is sizable and lasts. I wear slacks and polos or button ups every day, and it works for everything.
I’ve also used it for cleaning and ‘ironing’ curtains.
Acknowledged. But steam is steam, and I’m certain that people have reapportioned it for use as a cleaner in the past; I’m simply wondering how versatile it can be.
It seems that you have one and do not believe it can be used for any cleaning applications?
I bought one of these on the last Woot! offering. I paid $49.99 ![]()
I hate getting taken for $10 clams but, I do like this steamer. (if only it would steam clams)
I actually bought this to get the wrinkles and creases out of my new drapes. It worked great without having to remove them from the curtain rods. Now that my drapes are wrinkle free I realized this machine works great on shirts and slacks too. I just give my work duds a quick once over with the steaming wand and voila! they look like I picked them up from the cleaners (almost)
Love love love mine- use it almost every morning! I’ve had it since October or so, and I have gotten out my iron… once?
I actually never use the attachments… just the steamer.
I have this and love it. Used it this morning on a cotton button up shirt that had to be line dried. Got all the wrinkles out and even straightened out the pocket.
