Is this 6 packs of 1 pill each? One pack of 6 pills? Something else?

How Does It Work?

Even though not everybody agrees exactly on how the My Way pill works, it is generally believed that the progestin in My Way works to prevent pregnancy in a similar way that birth control pills do—mainly that it helps to prevent ovulation.

The FDA has required the manufacturer of My Way Morning-After Pill to indicate on its product labeling that this emergency contraceptive may also work by preventing a fertilized egg to implant into the uterine wall.

It should be noted, though, that current research on levonorgestrel-based emergency contraception suggests that My Way does not appear to affect implantation.

I’m not even going to go into my thought on “emergency contraceptives.”

ANY “medication” whose claim is that “while we don’t know how this shit works, you should really take it”… yeah, no. That’s a hard pass for me.

Good thing you’re a dude and shouldn’t be taking them anyway.

Morning. These are from Amazon so we don’t have much info on them. Did see a photo in a review that showed 6 boxes though.

They cannot guarantee that it prevents pregnancy because there are different scenarios in which it won’t work. Such as- if you already ovulated, it will not be effective.

That it “might not prevent pregnancy” wasn’t/isn’t my issue. My issue is that they want you to take something that they don’t know how or why it works. Not very “scientific” if you ask me :man_shrugging: .. .and SURE doesn’t instill confidence.

There are other medications they know work without completely understanding how. Antidepressants, for example. I can personally say they can and do work for me. But they don’t work for everyone or one kind may work for one person and not another. Bodies are super complex.

(I don’t want to start a whole thing about whether people should take them. I’m just citing an example.)

I get that. I wasn’t singling this out in that. I guess I’m the only one who just can’t trust something as safe when Science:trade_mark: has no idea how it works - which, by extension must also mean that that do not know of potential side effects, either immediate or late term delayed. :man_shrugging:t3:

Okay so I will be the one to ask the offensive question… If you are taking this (let’s be honest, this is a “day after” pill), is it really a contraceptive at this point, like a condom, or more of a “just in case” abortion pill?

Oh wait… should my comment be on the political thread or somewhere else instead?

Sorry, not sorry.

Uhhh, did anyone read the “Top Critical Review?”

I didn’t want to say this, but honestly… do you really want to be taking / trusting medication from some Chinese company on Amazon?

I wasn’t in the market for this anyway; not an issue. I just saw that the comments were on FIRE!

There were some creatine gummies on here a while ago and people in the Amazon reviews brought up that the manufacturer was listed as a Chinese shell corp… It’s bad enough that our own govt doesn’t care what we ingest but China is even worse.
