I’m not a traveler, but I bring around a hefty laptop and books/folders, and both my backpacks broke recently. Is this a good choice for the price?
I’ve been using a swissgear backpack for 8 years or so. It still looks looks like new and nothing has broken yet. It’s a different one, older, but they’re similar in design.
Also a Swiss gear owner for 12 yrs.
I chose model bc a father poster his teen son would destroy a back pack in 6-8 mon every year & this one got through his last 2 years of HS & another 2 of college so far. Same longevity for me. I could easily carry 35 lbs of stuff in this thing, no problem. Well balanced, good padding, nice air circulation.
I gave it up for an ultra light 3 yrs ago bc the one I had weighed 3.5 lbs MT. (the ultralight was 1.2 lbs & has been holding up well).
This is a newer model & weighs 2.5#s,. Hope it 's still as tough.
