Great Reviews over at Casa.com

I need new cookware.

The T-fal set that I got as a wedding gift 4 years ago is garbage. It has removable handles that are always loose and on the verge of falling off. Not very reassuring when you are draining a gallon of boiling water.

I’m hesitant to buy any other T-fal sets with removable handles, do these have that feature?

edit After looking at the reviews and pictures on Amazon I’ve come to the conclusion that this set does not feature the dreaded removable handles. Looks like a good deal too!

I got this set for my wedding last year and they have been pretty great. Nothing ever sticks to them. I never use over medium heat and hand wash and they look just as good as the day I got them. The only downside is that all the lids only fit one pan. Kind of a bummer when you are searching for that one needed lid but it is manageable.

Would these work with a gas range?

We’ve got one of the larger frying pans with the lid and generally like it. Only complaint is that the bottom is not completely flat, has kind of a slight bulge in the middle.

i can never tell with these sets do the lids included fit all the pans meaning there is a lid that can be used on each pot / pan if not anyone know of a set 12 piece or higher that has lids for all items? Nothing I hate worse than getting a set and the skillets don’t have lids that’ll fit them.

Yes. I would actually only recommend using these on a gas range or glass-top electric range. The coil electric ranges scratch quite a bit.

Will this work on an induction stove and are they magnetic from the bottom

It says in the description: “Safe for all cooking methods except induction.”

So, I would say - these aren’t for you.

The description says, “safe for all cooking methods except induction.” I haven’t seen anything about whether they’re magnetic (though they do have a certain appeal).

A number of reviews say that the lids only fit the saucepans and don’t cleanly fit the skillets, so it sounds like you won’t be happy with this set.

thanks I didn’t think to look at the review normally I do.

is the underside of these pan smooth?

Have used this set for five years and never considered that the “Nonstick Thermo-Spot Heat Indicator” was functional. Thought it was decorative. Now I have to go test and see if the red spot changes color or something.
Best feature for me is that these are super easy to clean, no matter what you cook. I will use Le Creuset pots instead for some dishes, but for whipping up a cheese omelet, nothing beats this fry pan for non-stick ease.

Anyone know if the coating is toxic??

In the tiny, tiny print it says this:

T-fal’s non-stick coating is formulated not to chip or peel under normal household use. Accidental ingestion of a small quantity is not
harmful. Should you have additional questions or problems,

Actually out of the three skillets only one doesn’t have a lid. The largest one has it’s own lid, although it’s not really consider a skillet. The smallest skillet doesn’t come with it’s own lid but a pot lid does fit on it. Only the middle one doesn’t have a lid that will fit.
