I’ve got the 250lb rated LG, and while it’s a great ladder, it’s heavy. I’d guess about 10-15lbs heavier then this one. It also does more and goes higher, so it depends on whether light weight or multi-functionality and compactness is more important to you…
I have a Telesteps ladder in an A-frame model, I got it to keep in my RV. I’ve had it for 3 years, used it many times, and like it a lot. The instructions for opening and closing it are specific but simple; I’ve never had any problems.
This other guy is even dumber in a different ladder (if that’s possible)
I am surprised no one mentioned this one…

I have one of these that I use everyday. If you follow the instrctions as far as extending the ladder fully or extending it partially you will have no problem with it. It is a little flexible when fully extended but most ladders are and it is fine to climb. Make sure the lockout tabs are extended befroe climbing as a safety check.
Also, I use a little giant as well which is also a great ladder. Both are very different and I would recommend having both as you will find uses for both, especially when you do not want to pull out the heavy little giant

I’ve used one for 12 years on the job handi little ladder when you don’t have the room in a small s-10 pickup paid 350.00 for this at bishups ladder when we purchased it. good deal be careful make sure the extentions lock before climbing as they may collapse if not setup right.
I have this ladder. The one most important warning I would give about it is it is VERY dangerous when closing this ladder. You have to take your time and do it correctly. Believe me, I did it “my own way” the first time and got a very painful smashing/pinching finger injury. It happens in a split second. If I hadn’t had a fake nail on that finger, I may have lost a finger tip. As it was, the nail cracked in half and I got a pretty deep gash.
I have a little giant ladder. I use it for most things. But like this past weekend, I put crown molding up in my master bathroom. I could not use the little giant when it came to doing over the garden tub. The tub is big, but the little giant was too clunky and cumbersome to position and get it a spot that was useful to me. I grabbed the telescoping ladder and had things ready to go in less than 30 seconds. It has rubber on the tips to prevent marring your walls and it won’t slide out from under you very easily.
Overall, I think this is a great ladder, and I have found MANY uses for it. But please take my advice and be VERY careful when closing this ladder. Definitely do not let children mess with it!

The Little Giant is a super ladder. But this ladder has its niche. It is WAY lighter than the little giant. Hauling in the Little Giant to changing my air filters in the house is a HUGE pain. So for quick jobs, this ladder is far easier to deal with.
Overall, I use both the Little Giant and this ladder. I am glad I have both because they both are useful for different projects.

Only unsafe if you do not read the instructions on how to put the ladder up and down. I am average weight and when I use mine, it feels very solid to me. I love having mine to do quick and easy jobs so I do not have to haul out my Little Giant, which is much more cumbersome and heavy. I have used this ladder way more than I thought I would. It is just much easier to move around.
