How does it know when I’m backing up to turn on the backup camera?

The reverse camera probably needs to be wired into your car’s reverse light for power.

No, if it was compatible you probably wouldn’t need this.

Seems to mostly work but reverse function does not. Assistance with the issue is non existent so would not recommend! It’s cheap in comparison to other units but so is the price.
