At least they’re having fun. r/buildapc and r/buildapcforme used to be my “stomping grounds”. Used to. On more than one occasion, I was downvoted for saving folks money on components they didn’t need. A gaming GPU is of little use for someone working on 2D CAD. A 10-core CPU is absolutely pointless when the user is going to be running an application that’s primarily single-threaded. Memory adds performance, RGB peripherals do not. And I posted about these before Linus did.
