Can the battery be replaced with a standard dewalt-like battery?

Per Consumer Reports, one of the cons is “Battery cannot be swapped”…

For me that is a deal breaker, since any appliance with a battery that can’t be replaced is destined for the land fill. Save the earth, buy only appliances with a long service life.

The battery can be replaced if necessary. But it’s not like a cordless drill where you swap one out with another when it needs charged.

If you are wanting a vacuum that has that option there are a few made by Black and Decker, I have a couple of them and they use Black and Decker batteries. I don’t know why there aren’t more models of vacuums that use these types of batteries. I love having several batteries and never have to wait for a vacuum to charge. Maybe you’re already aware, just thought I would share.

B&D is kind of an exception since their power tool offers are on the weaker side; they need other markets to bolster their lineup.

Adapters can be had for some vacuums. I had a LXT battery adapter on my Dyson V6, but it was weaker (stock is 6-cell, LXT is 5-cell) and yielded less runtime. There are vacuum companies that offer easily replaceable batteries too; Hoover and their ONEPWR line comes to mind. That said, a replacement battery also costs more than this vac right meow.

Don’t even. These things are useless and customer service even more so. Everything appears to pickup just fine, then when you stop the vacuum everything falls out. You couldn’t pay me to use another one of these. Absolute garbage.

I don’t know what vacuum you’re using but I’ve got 2 models, while both pick things up the Power Series Max has a different brush roll and leaves nothing to fall out when it stops including small rocks. I actually use them daily to clean commercial accounts and love it. The other models do tend to collect and dump. I’ve purchased Dyson, LG1, Tineco and Craftsman and PS Max is awesome and I beat the crap out of that thing.
