I spent a couple minutes investigating why it has a large crucifix on it. Then I saw a closer picture that shows it’s just a large “+” atop a large “-” that is, for unknown reasons, rotated 90°.
The big plus and minus on top of one another do have a reason. They are the volume buttons for the speakers.
Confused why Woot did not find this on Amazon…

My only comment…I’d just want to make real sure you are getting superior sound when putting out $100 or more for a bluetooth speaker…and just saw that Apple carries the fancier version of this same speaker for $200…wow…appears to be a good sound deal (pun intended).

It’s funny. Every other time Woot has sold these Jesus Speakers, and I’ve pointed out the cross, everyone else accused me of imagining it. But this time everyone sees it.
He’s not saying they have no reason; he’s saying the vol-down is rotated for no apparent reason.
Personally I think it’s rotated for exactly the reason we’re noticing - to make it look like a cross and draw attention to the product.
FYI, these speakers are actually great. It’s tough to gauge based on user reviews because if you don’t keep the firmware updated, they are buggy as hell. They are very impressive, and I’ve owned a LOT of BT speakers. I personally have a mix of boom 2, megabooms, and the minis currently. I’ve tried the “upgraded” blast with alexa, they suck right now. It’s just because they need to fix some firmware issues though. IMHO, this is the best $100 speaker on the market currently. Color won’t work for some though🤷🏼‍♂️.
It’s not rotated down, the speaker can be use horizontally. Either way they put it it’s going to look rotated from the other perspective.
I would be more inclined to believe that if every single promotional photo I’ve ever seen of these speakers, including this one, didn’t show them standing up vertically.
This is like saying the Infinity speaker logo is really an 8 because you can always turn the speaker on its side.
I bought a U2 BOOM a year ago for Xmas and love it. The sound is good and you do have the + and - for volume control. And if you hold them down at the same time, it will tell you the percentage of battery you have left. You also hang with a loop or put it on a camera tripod out in the yard (at least mine can). I got a deal on mine from Verizon when i was buying new phones, but this still seems pretty good.
