For anyone wondering, these cables provide data transfer at USB 2.0 speeds (480 Mbps)
Are these cables engineered any better than your average USB-C cables from Anker or any of the alphabet soup companies on Amazon?
Not really - These are nice cables in the sense that they have very premium materials, but they max out at a rated 60W charging capacity (likely limited by the e-marker chip in the cable’s connectors).
I have several Anker cables that I purchased here, on Woot, and they’re capable of 140W… Standard USB Power Delivery (USB PD) tops out at 100W, but as devices have become more powerful, there have been added features to the standards, including Extended Power Range (EPR), up to 240W. Those cables cost more, but very few devices can use that much anyway.
Hope that helps ![]()
I purchased this item two days ago for $21.99, and I just noticed that the price has dropped by $2 (now $19.99). It have not shipped yet: would it be possible to get a price match?
Please reach out to Woot! Customer Service, they may be able to refund the difference. Give details about the price drop so they know what’s up.
Please allow 24-48h for them to respond.
Self-Return: Items without Li-Ion batteries can be self-returned within 30 days. Go to your Order Details to get started. The return label will be emailed from UPS.
Browser: Use the Woot! Customer Service form.
Woot! App: Choose Account from the bottom navigation and then Support.
Note: Woot! Customer Service replies go to the email address on your Woot! account, not your Amazon login email if used/different.
(Please note: I don’t work for Woot, I just volunteer to help out here on the forums.)
Are you sure that these cables have e-marker chips in them? Cables that carry 60W and under AND are USB 2 don’t require an e-marker chip to be USB-IF certified. If these cables have e-marker chips in them, then Apple, really went all the way beyond what the standard requires.

Man I hope they clear up all these standards for USB-C cables and other items.
Well stated - They may not need them. And I don’t have these exact cables to test. But I do know that one of the Apple ones that I have did supposedly contain one anyway. Guess that it would be moot though, since in most cases they won’t, as you’ve indicated, pass more than the PD limit of 60W without the chip to indicate what it can handle above that limit.
The last time these were up I pulled the trigger, and received cables that were neither Apple nor woven. Fool me once…
Hi there. We’ve sold many hundred of these. It was likely a one-off that was in the lot. I hope you reach out to customer service.
If these are shipped in a plain brown box, shouldn’t the picture be blurred?

Meh. You can get 100w cables for the same price. The Baseus recoiling cables are great, and really do support 100w.
I have yet to buy any Baseus products. I guess you get familiar with certain brands and become more skeptical of brands you aren’t familiar with. I once trusted Ravpower and Aukey until they got banned so when new brands like uGreen and Baseus take their place I don’t know what to feel. I do know I got some Lisen and Jsaux cables cheap that have really been a mixed bag when it comes to durability. As far as performance I haven’t used any kind of tester but I assume they are delivering power at the specified rate.
Yeah, I GUESS. I’ve got 2-3 Baseus things (recoiling USB-C cables, Picogo battery pack), and they’re good. You can watch some Mobile Reviews Eh videos (youtube) on Baseus products.
Ravpower and Aukeyare banned? By who?
Aukey was removed from many etailers like Amazon a good while ago. They are still on places like
Newegg though.
It’s just the current games with global politics, and which brands are perceived to have higher quality standards (which is kind of a joke - I like Anker, but even they have half a dozen significant recalls in the last year or so).
hello, quick question
first, how to tell if this is genuine Apple? does the cable come with stamped Apple logo or serial number or such?
second, how trustable is woot when it comes to woot claim? as woot claim this come directly from apple…
One last thing, how do we claim one year Apple warranty if the cable is purchased at woot? woot product page said one year limited Apple warranty…
how do you tell it’s not genuine Apple?
