Gets great reviews (only 5 of them, though) on Amazon. Great price compared with the mothership and Home Depot, too.
Might have to pull the trigger on this one… need sleep first.

2 of those 5 are Vine reviews from people who got it for free so I take their remarks with a grain or two of salt. They both gave it 5 stars. Big surprise.
I did a little reading and searching and I can’t find any info that says if you can run this in parallel with a second unit. I will assume no.
Everyone says it’s quite, but claimed db is about 10db higher than the claim of similar (westinghouse, smartertools) inverter generators.
very important is that there isn’t a low out shut-off, smartertools and westinghouse do have that. also, it says 4 hours of run time at 50% load, other units say 8 hours at 50%, that’s a pretty big difference.
I’m a vine reviewer and very rarely give something 5 stars. You’re suggesting a correlation between free product and high ratings that you’re providing zero evidence for.

I have to ask where you did your research. Pictures show the parallel plug in. It also has low oil warning light, so I will assume it uses the same circuit to kill the spark to the motor, as do the others. They are all clones, and yes I’ll be ordering one.
This fully-packed panel comes equipped with two three-prong 120V receptacles, one 12V DC receptacle and one 5V USB port. Indication lights on the front of the panel provide overload and low-oil warnings. The automatic shutter controls the intake of gasoline to match the wattage at hand, maximizing fuel economy. Need more energy? Easily link up two generators using a parallel kit (sold separately) in order to share wattage amongst multiple units.
A vendor at a flea market I attended recently had one of these. It was super quiet. So much so that I asked about the brand and output. Thought it was really cool since most generators I’ve been around are noise invasive.
I work at an outdoor power equipment dealer and I can tell you firsthand, there is a reason that the Honda equivalent costs $1000 and this one is $400. These things are huge chunks of crap. We also sell generac generators and refuse to sell their inverters as well. They’re all made by the same company, just rebranded and with different cases. Honeywell, wen, generac, you name it, all junk. The carburetors tend to blow out on them first, which is generally an item that won’t be warranted. Also prepare for the 40 pulls it takes to get one of these things started. Just a fair warning from someone with a lot of experience with these things. Save up your cash and buy a Honda so you only have to buy a generator once

And yet, we have grannies and other RVers who are happy as clams for several years using this CRAP? There is a bias in the USA in favor of more more more, longer lower wider with a 7 speaker stereo. I used to buy power tools at the top of the heap just out of precaution, in case of blah blah blah. One day, I noticed that my subscription to Consumer Reports had gone obsolete: 85% of the time, if I just bought the most expensive, feature laden Whatsit, it was Recommended by Consumer Reports. It turned out that a $5,000 sewing machine spent most of its life doing straight seams. Nobody ever needed the embroidery functions - yet no sewing machine without it ever got top rankings after the embroidery machines came out.
Not everybody needs a riding vacuum with a 7 speaker stereo and a PTO for repairing the foundation on that big ole $150,000 barn. My only reason for not pulling the trigger on this Wen generator is that I can buy a Generac piece of crap for only $60 more locally - and I can return it easily if I get one of the defective ones.
I bought the Westinghouse a few weeks back and it is the most incredible invert gen I have ever used…only reason I put this here is to let you all know that the Honda is not the only one out there that is good. I have already used the inverter to lift my boat 10 times and let others us it so more like 30 times …each time is one pull!!! Not speaking for this one, but man everyone needs an inverter gen around the house, or dock.

Well, for one… you got the product for FREE. Like $500 product for free. You don’t think that would affect potential negativity? After all, NO MONEY LOST.
Amyone who receives a free $500 item for review and thinks their review is unbiased is only fooling themselves. There are many studies that prove subconscious bias if you care to search for them. Common sense will tell you a person receiving gifts, especially expensive ones, will want to continue to receive them in the future. People are not likely to leave anything but a 5 star review so they remain in the company’s good graces.
