Westlake All Season Radial Tire- 225/45ZR18

Westlake All Season Radial Tire- 225/45ZR18

What’s the last 4 digits of the DOT on these?

Hi there. I don’t know much about tires so I’m not sure what you’re asking. here it is on Amazon.

https://www.amazon.com/Westlake-Season-Radial-Tire-225-45ZR18/dp/B00MZB6NYO

and this may be the manufacturer page:

The DOT is a number on the side designating where, and when, the tires were made. Basically, tires are good for 6 years, but typically aren’t sold after 2-3 years, if they’re still on the shelf. The last 4 digits of the DOT are the week and year they were made: April 2017 would read 1817, 1917,… etc February 2019 would read 0519, 0619,… etc… so I was just trying to figure out if these tires were abandoned in a warehouse somewhere and forgot about, or actually somewhat newer.

Ohhhhhhhhhh, TIL. I don’t know and not sure we can find out but I’ll ask.

Hi there. From our vendor:

DOT numbers are assigned at an individual tire level and is not stored in our systems. There will be a mix of DOT numbers across the inventory based on their manufacturing date/location. Our dropship vendors will not ship tires older than 2 years to customers.

Perfect. Thank you!!
