Lake beaches significantly increase my frequency vs ocean beaches.

Last week. Fort Niagara State Park, on the shores of Lake Ontario. I even saw Toronto.

Last century. In 1991 the USS Lexington (CV-16) was decommissioned and donated to the city of Corpus Christi, TX as a museum ship.

My father, a US Navy veteran, drove us to Corpus Christi for a vacation to tour the ship and so he could reminisce about his youth. We stayed at a hotel on the beach and we spent time walking and enjoying the Corpus Christi beaches and other local attractions.

I haven’t thought about that in a very long time. Good memories.

I live within an hour(ish) of the beach but unfortunately don’t make it there as often as I would like. Last time was last year in June/July. This time of year it is blustry, wet and cold. I am hopeful we will get to go soon.

That was actually very good. Everyone should watch if you need some motivation and good advice.

I grew up on the west coast. But since 1989 I have lived in the midwest. Lots of lakeshore, but no real beaches
