Do Flea markets count?
Just this past Saturday we went to our village wide sale.
I was quite surprised that one house said everything was free!!!
I found 2 hand bags, black out curtains, iridescent wine flask (son grabbed), and a few more items. Score!
I also love thift stores, flea markets, etc. Most stuff can be cleaned then I add my own germs, lol.
I think itās good to recycle other peopleās stuff when possible and saves me money, sometimes itās even new in the boxā¦
Honestly, itās probably been more than 5 years since I stopped at a yard sale. I have a positive feeling about them & stuff Iāve bought, but I just donāt have any hankering to stop at them anymore. I guess Woot has filled that ācheap stuff I probably donāt needā space in my life.
Thanks, Woot! You complete me!
Every so often I stop - sometimes interesting finds
Yard sales/garage sales are in my genes. My mom stopped at all of them. Thrift stores are - or were when she was living - her favorite places to shop for everything.
I donāt go nearly as often these days, and when I do, itās usually when Iām in Texas visiting my daughter and her family. Itās just more fun when you go with people, IMO.
ITS A TAG SALE FOR THE LAST TIME!!!
I used to be big into those. But once Iād acquired enough crap, I already had crap, so I was less inclined to be interested in other peopleās crap.
None of this applies to your crap, Woot. I just canāt quit you.
Not so much garage/yard sales as estate sales. Cool dead people stuff is some of the best.
Usually take look while passing
Usually donāt stop
Unless something interesting can be seen
Have enough of my own crap to get more from others
Our neighborhood HOA only allows yard sales twice a year⦠one in the Spring, and one in the Fall. And you have to pay for a permit if you want to put anything out to sell.
Our girls usually run around the block and see if anyone is selling anything cool⦠then come back and ask for money to buy stuff. I donāt really get that into them though.
my friends all get together and do an annual group-garage sale. itās pretty fun! we help sell each others stuff and its a reason to hang. plus itās a chance to give things to friends if they end up liking it before it sells.
Itās been awhile! I went to a string of bad garage sales last year, so it kind of burnt me out on them. Maybe itās time to try again!
neva neva neva
Heck yes i thrift
Just over 1 year ago.
It was our garage sale that was actually a moving sale, stuff from 40 yrs in our house and most everything on the farm including large tools, equipment, antiques and tractors.
Amazing that we sold 100% of everything in just 2 days, except what we could stuff into two Pods to have shipped across the country.
I donāt go to garage sales because I already have a nice one for both my cars.
