Just FYI.. I ordered 2 of these (Jan 11th). Started to put one together and found that half the “shelf” support bars on the right side have some sort of manufacturing defect that makes them sit an inch or so lower, so the whole shelf is slanted.

I checked the second one and it looks to have the same issue. I contacted the mfg (last Friday, Jan 24th) and asked them about getting replacement parts for the bad ones, but haven’t heard anything from them yet. They do list a phone number.. which I’ll try tomorrow if I don’t get a response today.

If all that fails.. I’ll really have no choice but to return them since they’re somewhat unusable without the correct parts. Alternatively, I could probably use the correct parts from the second one to make one full usable rack, and then return the bad one.

Anyway, just wanted to mention this in case anyone else ordered these and hasn’t gotten around to checking/assembling them yet. You might want to check before the warranty period runs out in case you have the same issue.

Edit: Emailed them again on Jan 29th to see if I could get any kind of response.

Edit 2: Finally got a response from Whitmor about this issue on Feb 3rd. They said they will send out the replacement parts and that I’ll get an email when they ship. Haven’t seen that email yet.

Edit 3: Hadn’t heard anything, so I emailed again today (Feb 12th).. they responded with this: “I do not know what happened but I did not get the order put in for you. I either failed to print it out. I do not know. I do see where I was going to send you the needed parts.” Hopefully I’ll see something soon.

Edit 4: I did finally get an email yesterday (Feb 12th) after emailing Whitmor again about a shipment being sent. But from what I can tell, it’s only half the parts I need (enough to fix one, but I ordered two.. and they both have the same problem).. so I may still be returning one, unless I can convince Whitmor to send another set of parts.

Edit 5: The replacement parts arrived yesterday (Feb 18th). Opened them today and they are white, which is what I told Whitmor since that’s what the color was listed as on woot!.. but turns out the ones woot! sent me are gray. Also, Whitmor only sent enough to fix one of the racks I ordered, so I’ll just put one together with the different colors, and send the other one back for a refund. It’s been way too much of a hassle dealing with all this for a $13 shoe rack.
