This review: (not my review, but now I want to build a catio)
Good product - if it can handle my 14-pound cat
Bought these to build a catio on my back porch so my cat can safely go outside. Used a lot of zip ties, as they weren’t built for that purpose, but they have so far withstood the summer and some heavy rains, and I bought more so I could expand the space a bit. Good product - if it can handle my 14-pound cat, it can handle your books!
Ps. I DARE someone to tell me how they can get this at Harbor Freight for $6.99!
I used a couple sets of these in closets for years, and they were very useful and did a good job of staying together.
The only thing you need to consider is to have them in place before putting anything in them - they do not move nicely when loaded (maybe on a hard surface they’ll move better - but not on carpet).
If I needed another set I’d jump on this one. Not literally - they may handle HelloYellow’s 14 pound cat, but I think I’d personally be pushing it.

Looks like a wire mesh kallax. Might be nice for board games if it is strong enough.
Cats are not my jam, however, milk crates that hold my clothes are!
Are these sturdy enough to act as a ‘dresser?’
(as in crate with t-shirts in ‘cube #1,’ crate with jammies in ‘cube #2,’ etc…)

I think it’s safe to assume 2 boxes at 14.5" each would add to a height of 29".
I’m thinking that if reinforced with zip ties, they should hold a decent amount of weight. With just the plastic holders, it seems to vary wildy - and I’m sure those who’ve not put it together securely haven’t been able to hold stuffed animals without it toppling over.
If you trust these with your furbaby, surely I can trust them with my fundies & toe socks! (post-zip-ties!)

I had a friend who stored jeans in hers, but I’m not sure if they were this brand or another. Hopefully they’ll offer this again.

I have to say that these things are the worst fning purchases I’ve ever made from here. If you think you can pull something out from the bottom rack without touching the one on top you might get lucky. But if you bother the other ones you will cause a cascade event. Fuc this, I’m gonna buy real shelves.
