Many years ago, we would have had resources to do it but didn’t sell enough items to warrant it. Now we sell too may items and don’t have the resources to code a search.

Because in prowling through everything, one usually discovers something else without which one also cannot live.

Why do you think they put necessities like dairy and meat at the back of the grocery store? So you have to pass a bunch of other stuff on the way there.

Also, it’s easier to run electricity along the perimeter walls and easier to stock walk-in coolers from behind. You also want your coolers away from doors so they are not subject to temperature swings of the door being opened all day.

Oh, and meat is expensive so put it at the back harder to steal.

Bread is probably a better example of a staple being near the back of store and/or its proximity to other staples like milk.

Do you want to come over and rearrange my kitchen?

I’ve read enough reports about people wearing double layers of pants so they can stuff them with steaks. At least they might feel the coldness with the longer walk/run to the exit. :person_shrugging:

Oh yeah… We caught people with special pockets sewn into their jackets and others who stuffed a rack of ribs down their pants. Worst problem was people trying to pull the discount stickers (cuz meat was past prime) off one package to stick on another.
