Does the manufacturer make any claim as to filter effectiveness at a micron level or are they just using the DOE standard?

- True-HEPA filtration captures up to 99.97% of particles as small as 0.3 microns
I seem to recall CV-19 at something like 0.125 microns

I researched air purifiers in my price range and bought one of these a couple of months ago. It’s been great. I just bought a second one for a different room. This is a great price for a quality air purifier. I do leave the plasmawave turned off.
Does anyone know if the C5C5 removes humility from the air of the area it is placed in?
You must first become a humble person before your humility can be removed.
Great unit, had it about a year. This unit has pretty much removed all the dust collection in our master bedroom. I use the plasmawave for nailing bacon or onion smells when my wife is cooking by putting it near the A/C intake.
The VOC sensor is very sensitive, works great. The VOC light strip/indicator will turn from the “clean” blue color to orange or red whenever my wife sprays her hair in the adjacent bathroom. Once the air is clean it will turn back to the normal blue.
126 comments on Costco pretty much all complaining about WiFi issues, and regularly stating the manufacturer is aware of the issues and suggests people return units with wifi issues.
I’m on the fence. Can’t beat this price, but if I have to exchange the unit or return it because it doesn’t work?
It looks like the only issue that the Costco users have is with the wi-fi; the unit still cleans air. For me, wi-fi isn’t that big a deal. I have a different Winix model with no wi-fi and when I want to change settings, I walk over to it. This is a great price, and I don’t care if I can’t connect to it when I get it.
Just my $0.02.
Really, who cares about wifi? I have the one without wifi too. Set it on Auto and forget about it. Goes to low night mode when the lights are out.
$45 for the filter at Costco or $60 through Winx. Can’t get the filter anywhere else. I don’t think this is such a great deal anymore.
I bought three of these a couple months ago. They have been fantastic. No wifi issues. The sensor works great. Fart in from of it and it will go into turbo mode.
Souka, C-19 is 1.2 microns, but on its own it would already be dead. If it is part of the aerosolized droplet it needs to survive, it is large enough to be captured by the filter.
Is the HEPA filter washable? I see some places that claim it is, many others that don’t mention it.
Edit: Derp - I RTFM and it says the filter is NOT washable.
