Wolfgang Puck 7.2 Quart Air Fryer

Wolfgang Puck 7.2 Quart Air Fryer

Had a hard time finding reviews that seemed genuine. Only scores 3 of 5 stars average on Wal-mart’s site. I think I’ll pass and do more research on good air fryers.

This actually is a great air fryer. I was fortunate to snag one of these six months ago when they were offered. No nonsense controls take the guess work out of the cooking. One of the largest capacity air fryers on the market. Just be warned, it says these are “open box”, but in reality these are returns for one reason or another. They usually don’t come in original packaging and I believe that they are discontinued because they are nowhere to be found on the Puck website. A great deal if you actually get an “open box” fryer and not a beat-up return!!!

It says “New - Open Box” What exactly does that mean? Were these the demo models in stores that people messed with but were never sold/taken home and used?

If there is a chance that I will get a used item that has been hastily washed, thrown back in the box and returned, then just no.

I would imagine that they are returns (maybe some “demo/display” models) that perhaps were gift returns or for some reason the customer simply decided against? And if any were returned “used”, those would likely have been written off and trashed. I seriously doubt you would get a used one with food particles… but then again… this is 2019, LOL! Even in that instance I’m sure Woot/Amazon would take it back and refund/replace.

What I want to know is, what’s a FryerTurn

I bought one here last time they were offered few months ago. I like how simple it is, no myriad of buttons to navigate, simply set the temperature and time, and you’re done. Couple of things to consider. It’s big and heavy, so if your storage is tight it may not be a good fit for you. Also, neither basket or tray are dishwasher safe, so if you’re averse to hand washing your dishes this one may not be for you.

For what it’s worth, my “open box” Puck dough mixer was 99.9% immaculate. There was a tiny speck of something in it, leading me to believe it was used and returned.

I think the world of “open box, refurbished, etc.” is slipping into weasel words. These are likely customer returns and how clean they are depends on the company selling them.

Air fryers work. I have a large, square, commercial one and a small one similar to this one. I use the small one quite a bit. The big thing to examine is the interior, especially the non-stick coatings. Cheapies have been known to flake off.

Reading some of the reviews the last time they were offered, there were quite a few that stated that there was old food residue in them. That said, I got a clean one and LOVE the ease of use.

The Air Fryer I received was definitely used. The packaging had paperwork in it from the previous owner indicating they returned it because they did not like it. Also, the unit was dirty and had a dent on the top. “Open Box - New” is supposed to be Open Box - New! Not opened, used and returned. I have purchased several items from Woot and this is the first time something was misrepresented as to it’s actual condition. I am very unhappy with this purchase being led to believe I was ordering a “New” - “Open Box” item! My trust has been broken.

I’m very sorry. It was definitely supposed to be new, open box. Please contact Woot Customer Service for assistance. From a browser, use the Woot Customer Service form. In the Woot App, choose Account from the bottom navigation and then Support.

For what it’s worth, the lie that these are “new-open box” seems to be at all sellers, not just Woot.

I got a deal on a Puck dough mixer and you had to look really hard…but there was a tiny food trace on the unit.

The outfit buying opened up, returned stuff is trying to be “clever” and it makes all the sellers who believe them look bad.
