I can add that these are amazing knives. I have a full set and cherish them. I have the Classic line though.

Based on the reviews, I tracked down this Amazon posting for the 6 piece. Price history has it recently at $298, not the current $367.97.

The Classic line is amazing, this unfortunately is the Gourmet line which is very subpar to the Classic and the scissors are made in China, not Germany as most would expect. Just an FYI, still pretty good for the price but I’m not adding them to my knife block even though I have two open knife spots.

I agree: The Wusthof knife offer today has two options but only shows the picture and specs for the cheaper one.

Please offer a special on their 2-inch+ curved peeling knife! Thanks!

The 6pc is Epicure

I’m also a Wusthof Knife collector/user. The Epicure is the Wusthof spin on Japanese knives. I would definitely be interested in picking at least one up, but I don’t care for the woodblock, scissor, combo business. I’d rather pick my pieces.

I’ve had a nearly identical Wusthof set for many years. The scissors are frickin’ amazing. You’d think they’d cut a little worse because they come apart for easy cleaning, but the tolerances are so tight they actually work better than any of my other scissors ever have, still.

Edit - So I’m reading now there’s a lower quality “Gourmet” and better “Classic” line with this being the former and having scissors made in China (vs. Germany) among other things. I can’t find which series mine are - it’s an “Emeril” 12-piece set from probably 20 years ago, but given how well the scissors fit together I’d say they have to be made in Germany?
