I have four Wyze cameras with inside window mounts. If you are willing to pay for cloud storage these are great cameras. Where they fall short is storage on an SD card. Wyze constantly errors and you lose all recordings. I’ve used expensive SD cards and ones recommended by Wyze and they all error. Not sure why Wyze doesn’t care to fix this.
These were way less from wyze just a couple weeks ago. Pretty sure they were $15, since the superior v4 is out now. I have a ton of wyze cams, really like them. 100 a year for unlimited camera cloud recording is great compared to what ring and others charge.
I’m in the opposite camp; the cloud storage is unreliable for me, hence I switched to using local microSD cards. I use both cheap 32GB store-branded ones (likely Kingston renames) and Samsung’s high-end EVO high-durability ones (128GB).
But then again, I also use the old app software that came around the 2nd gen cameras and haven’t bothered to update the internal firmware. My set operates on a relatively closed network (as in I have to turn on internet capabilities manually).
