If Mary Poppins had an inverted umbrella while flying, that would have quickly turned a family-friendly movie into a horror show.
These are the only kind I buy. The reverse umbrella is perfect for keeping the inside of my car dry after getting in during a storm
But if you open it after it starts to rain, wouldn’t the initial drops then fall on you?

It does say “Dries Instantly”. I just haven’t seen these in action.
