Is the night vision image displayed grainy? Or is it pretty clear?

They’re a thousand dollars at Amazon.

Yukon Monoculars get pretty good reviews on Alatest.

Generation I is GREAT! By “great”, I mean adequate, and by adequate I mean LOUSY. . . . . Unless of course you love watching green snowstorms - That’s what you’ll see obscurring your subject.

Woot’s price is easily $50+ cheaper than anywhere else for this monocular. Even though it’s a 1st Gen. night vision, it’s worth it at this price.

Oh sheeooot!!
I just ordered one of these.

in for 3 !

one for each of my eyes.

Anyone know what generation this is?

edit: ignore that, I wasn’t paying enough attention…

I have a different model Yukon monocular and I’ve been really happy with it. I paid about twice as much as this for one with very similar specs about a year ago.

This isn’t going to give you great night vision, and the IR illumination uses barely visible LEDs, but it’s a fun thing to have around out here in the country at night. I’ve spotted plenty of animals on our property with mine. The effective range is maybe 50 yards, and the clarity isn’t bad, especially with the illumination on.

Do be careful about looking at reflective surfaces though, you’ll hurt your eye and (I’ve heard) damage the optics.

Well of course! Ninjas don’t need night vision goggles! :stuck_out_tongue:

AARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!! Matey… Just what me be lookin fer. Help me get me booty away from the scalawags. Sail them high seas and parlay fer none.

when using this do you keep your other eye open, closed, or it doesn’t matter?

interesting that so many wooters are buying two–perhaps they think that will make a quality set of binoculars? >=b
